London Design Furniture began in 2009 when two furniture makers decided there had to be a better way. Mass production had taken over the industry, and finding genuinely handcrafted furniture at reasonable prices had become nearly impossible.
We started in a converted railway arch in East London with three workbenches and a determination to prove that quality furniture could be accessible without compromising on materials or construction methods.
Today, our workshop has grown to accommodate twelve craftspeople, but our approach remains unchanged. Every piece that leaves our doors has been touched by human hands at every stage of its creation.

We use solid hardwoods, not veneers over chipboard. What you see is what you get, inside and out.
Mortise and tenon, dovetails, and dowels create joints that strengthen with age rather than loosen.
All our timber comes from FSC-certified sources. We use water-based finishes wherever possible.
No inflated retail markups. We sell directly to you, making quality furniture more accessible.
Every piece of furniture starts with the right timber. We source predominantly from British woodlands and European forests with verified sustainable practices. Oak, walnut, ash, and cherry form the backbone of our collections.
Our timber is kiln-dried to precise moisture levels, then acclimatised in our workshop before use. This patience prevents warping and ensures dimensional stability for decades to come.
Once your piece is complete, it undergoes a final inspection before being carefully wrapped for transport. Our delivery team handles everything with the care you would expect.
We deliver throughout the United Kingdom, bringing furniture into your home and positioning it exactly where you need it. Packaging is removed and recycled, leaving you with nothing but a beautiful piece ready to enjoy.
